What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender - Lead position at FC MANAGEMENT LLC?
Job Summary:
The Lead Bartender will be responsible to oversee the preparation, serve and be able to mix and match ingredients in order to create classic and innovative drinks in accordance with guests’ needs and expectations. The primary purpose of the Lead Bartender is to provide friendly, attentive and timely service to create an exceptional experience for all of our guests.
Essential Job Functions; include but not limited to:
- Keeping track of bar inventory and ordering supplies
- Maintaining relationships with members of the craft liquor community, such as distributors and brewers
- Scouting popular drink trends within the community
- Coordinates recipes
- Communicating menu changes and additions to bar management and ownership
- Integrating new menus
- Making specialty mix-ins, such as simple syrups
- Introduction of new products, marketing
- Creating systems for the everyday operation of the bar, such as checklists, end of night reporting, shift reviews, and updating tip sheets.
- Maintain positive guest interactions while accurately mixing and serving beverages to guests and servers in a friendly and efficient manner
- Take beverage orders from guests, accept guest payment, process credit card charges
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with standard recipes as well as overseeing the accuracy of other bartenders on staff
- Peel, slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
- Balance the cash register at the start and close of each shift
- Present drink menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding
beverages - Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Maintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient
drink preparation and promotion of beverages - Able to understand and comply with all safety regulations and rules
- Assist in training of new employees.
- Any other job duties assigned
Qualifications:
- Excellent knowledge of serving techniques, standard cocktails and fine wines
- Excellent knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes
- Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
- Possess strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash register
- Handle a fast-paced work environment
- Outstanding guest services skills
- Be able to communicate clearly and effectively (verbal & written)
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills

- Able to work flexible hours necessary including off hours, weekends and holidays in a 24-hour location.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time. In some instances, the entire shift
- Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print)
- Ability to lift at least but not limited to 50 pounds and if more must be with assistance
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects)
- Ability to move quickly turning from left to right or right to left
- Flexibility in the wrist to scoop, twist, push, pull, lift, and bend
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
- Ability to be mobile in walk-in refrigerator and freezer with temperatures ranging from 40° F to -10° F
Education and Required Experience:
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Minimum 3-7 years food and beverage service and/or related food and beverage experience
- Must be able to obtain Sheriff's card and required work/health cards
