Stadium Grounds Assistant Job Description

FC Dallas is hiring a full-time Stadium Grounds Assistant at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, TX. Under the supervision of the Director of Stadium Grounds, this position will assist in turf management duties for the stadium and training fields.

What you’ll do:

• Lead crew in the day-to-day turf management practices associated with maintaining professional sports field.
• Assist Director of Grounds in creating yearly plan for maintenance, fertility, and budget.
• Assist in stadium field event set up: soccer matches, concerts, football games.
• Assist in painting multiple athletic fields throughout playing season: soccer, high school/college football and logos.
• Use of grow lights and growth blankets in fall/winter months.
• Irrigation management and repair.
• Hire and schedule gameday staff according to events.
• Communicate with coaches about training and field needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  

You Are:

• A self-starter, proactive thinker, and a sports fan with an affinity for soccer.
• Deadline-driven and can work under pressure while juggling multiple projects
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays in addition to Monday-Friday hours.
• A team player who is collaborative, consultative, and communicative.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 1 years of work experience working in sports field management.
• Experience leading a crew of 2 or more employees.
• Able to work irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to lift at least 50lbs.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Texas Noncommercial Pesticide Applicators License
