Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to serve as the Head of Middle and Upper Schools who serves as the administrative officer for Grades 5-12. The position ensures that the school is operated in a manner consistent with our Board approved mission, guiding principles, policies, and annual budgetary commitments/constraints. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, training and evaluating faculty, implementing curriculum, communicating with parents, organizing schedules, participating in the creation of a strategic plan, supervising student conduct, and fostering an environment of holistic Christian leadership in an academic setting.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain an academic learning environment applicable to the faculty, staff, and student body
- Prepare a master schedule for all middle school teachers and create and maintain student schedules in school information management system
- Serve as the Academic Dean; responsible for developing, sustaining, and enriching the curriculum and instruction of the school by providing supervision, leadership, and professional development of the faculty
- Perform routine teacher’s evaluations and observations
- Facilitate weekly and monthly meetings with Head of School and Administration to discuss issues, growth, and behaviors
- Maintain Student/Parent Handbook for middle school
- Mentor faculty and staff, ensuring conformity to vision and mission, and encouraging spiritual growth through staff meetings; behavior management; curriculum development
- Serve as the school’s representative to the community, families, donors, and educational associations
- Collaborate with Admnistration to maintain accreditation for school
- Coordinate and oversee school events (e.g. back-to-school, parent meetings, music programs, athletics, award ceremonies, graduation, etc.)
- Facilitate MAP testing including faculty training, uploading student data, setting up test sessions, analyzing data, and communicating results to all stakeholders.
- Oversee and organize field trips.
- Create master academic calendar and academic schedules
- Follow school procedures and policies that are set by the Head of School and the Board
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Proven expertise in curriculum development with a track record of creating innovative educational programs.
- Strong strategic planning skills to set long-term objectives and translate them into actionable initiatives.
- Effective management capabilities with experience leading teams of educators and administrative staff.
- Deep understanding of education administration, including policy implementation, compliance, and operational oversight.
- Budgeting proficiency to oversee financial planning and resource allocation responsibly.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff, inspire students, and engage with the wider school community.
- Supervising experience that emphasizes mentorship, performance evaluation, and fostering professional growth in educators.
- Solid background in teaching at middle or upper school levels, combined with a passion for student development and academic excellence.
