VP Financial Services Operations
Overview: We’re seeking a dynamic Vice President of Financial Services Operations to lead and execute operational strategies that align with the long-term priorities of our Life and Wealth Management Companies. This executive role oversees core operational areas—including life and annuity new business, wealth management operations, and financial services administration—while driving innovation, compliance, and efficiency across the organization.

What You’ll Do:
- Develop and oversee projects and initiatives that support annual business plans and budgets for Life and Wealth Management Companies.
- Lead all new business functions for life and annuity products (excluding underwriting), wealth management account opening, servicing, and product implementation.
- Serve as Manager and/or President on the FBL Marketing Services, LLC Board of Managers, analyzing and executing strategies for long-term growth.
- Oversee approval, implementation, and maintenance of wealth management clearing, custodial, and technology platforms.
- Act as the primary liaison between field leadership, Sales & Distribution, and Financial Services leadership teams; represent the company at regional meetings to drive adoption of initiatives.
- Participate in and chair corporate committees and taskforces where operational leadership is essential.
- Identify and mitigate operational, regulatory, and financial risks; ensure compliance with DOI, NAIC, DOL, FINRA, SEC, and other regulations.
- Oversee audits, address findings, and maintain current policies and procedures for financial services operations.
- Drive continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma and agile methodologies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Lead all aspects of staff development, including hiring, training, performance management, workflow oversight, and budget administration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree plus 10 years of leadership experience in financial services operations; advanced degree preferred.
- FINRA Series 7 and 24 required; Series 65/66, CFP, or ChFC required.
- Life & Health Insurance License and CLU or FLMI designation preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with field and home office leadership.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and evolving industry trends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
- Ability to travel up to 25%; valid driver’s license and satisfactory MVR required.
- Fingerprinting required.
