What You’ll Do: As the Subrogation Supervisor you will lead the subrogation unit in maximizing subrogation recoveries owed to Farm Bureau Financial Services, on property and casualty claims to ensure that all possible recoveries are obtained. You will also:
· Respond to and resolve customer service requests according to company policies in a prompt, efficient, and courteous manner for external customers, departmental staff, and other personnel at all times.
· Work with Shared Services Claims Manager to oversee all staff development aspects including the selection, training/development, disciplining/performance review, salary administration, referring employee complaints, controlling workflow, motivation of employees, and assigned budget activities.
· Ensure claims are settled in accordance with claims practices by keeping current with existing and pending claim precedent and legislation.
· Audit department files to validate subrogation procedures are followed within compliance standards and individual goals are attained.
· Assign, coordinate and determine the most appropriate subrogation procedure for handling files.
· Identify standards and procedures for improving the overall handling of subrogation claims.
· Assist in the Review and selection of legal counsel/collection agencies to handle litigated subrogation assignments.
What It Takes to Join Our Team:
- College degree or equivalent plus six years relevant experience required.
- Claims and/or subrogation experience preferred.
- Two years prior supervisory experience preferred.
- AIC required and CSRP and/or CPCU designation preferred.
- Strong knowledge of tort laws, no-fault laws and subrogation processes.
