***This position is located in our West Des Moines, Iowa office, with the possibility of a hybrid work schedule (2 days remote, 3 days in the office) ***
What You’ll Do: As a Scrum Master you will provide technical and process-oriented leadership in support of implementing key business initiatives and project objectives. You will lead a delivery team to develop software while transitioning the organization to an Agile-based development.
Other duties include:
- Work with Product Owners to prioritize the product roadmap in support of product release goals.
- Manage and communicate team metrics and reporting data.
- Work with the teams to set incremental goals and manage across the cross functional teams to achieve these goals within designated time frames.
- Communicate status of project via sprint and release-specific reports and improve transparency as to project status and radiate information.
- Organize and facilitate sprint ceremonies such as daily scrum meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings.
- Manage, understand and be able to produce backlog tracking, predictability, productivity, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition.
What It Takes to Join Our Team:
- College degree or equivalent plus five years related experience required.
- Previous direct responsibility in a Scrum Master role is required.
- Industry certification in one agile methodology required.
- Expertise in one or more other agile methodologies (Scrum, Lean, Kanban, XP, TDD, CI) preferred.
- Must have the aptitude to learn both business and technical terms and processes well enough to be a strong liaison between IT and the Business.
- Strong documentation, analytical and problem solving skills.
