This role is responsible for assembling cut material into high-quality floor and roof trusses according to specification. Team members in this position play a key part in creating a product that our customers rely on, and they work in a supportive environment that values safety, teamwork, and ongoing development.

The role also assists with pulling plates, stacking and banding finished product, and moving materials within the plant. This position reports to the Section Lead and Foreman.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Read and interpret work orders and production schedules (typed, handwritten, and digital).
- Pull plates and prepare materials for assembly.
- Set up and operate presses, nail guns, and other production equipment.
- Place cut material and plates per specification with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Connect plates using a hammer and/or press.
- Lift, stack, band, and mark finished product; move product on carts to designated areas.
- Perform continuous quality checks throughout production to ensure correct dimensions, lumber grades, and building standards.
- Participate in daily stretch-and-flex routine to prepare for safe work.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including routine equipment cleaning and basic maintenance.
- Communicate equipment or product concerns to the Lead promptly.
- Follow all written and unwritten company procedures focused on safety, consistency, and improvement.
- Wear required PPE at all times (boots, safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves).
- Maintain compliance with OSHA requirements and all company safety policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Section Lead or Foreman.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or GED required.
