Summary:
The Planner I will be responsible for supporting the planning and coordination of production processes to ensure efficient workflows and on-time delivery of products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create production plans and maintain valid production schedules for assigned work centers in alignment with ship dates considering material availability and capacity constraints.
- Coordinate kit availability from spares & production to ensure customer orders are complete and shipped on time.
- Evaluate Material Requirements Planning (MRP) messages from the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System, IFS, and follow the shop order process to meet production/forecast demand.
- Communicate inventory and purchase request statuses effectively across Shipping, Receiving, Quality, Scheduling, Customer Service, Spares, Accounting, Production, and Engineering departments.
- Follow up as required with all teams to expedite the flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectations.
- Create and set priorities on shipments to execute production plans.
- Collaborate cross functionally to maximize domestic and international shipments to achieve on-time delivery and revenue targets.
- Perform other duties as needed and assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications - Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field; or Associate Degree with 3-5 years of experience.
- Must have 0 to 1 year of procurement or planning experience.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Knowledge of production planning methods and techniques, such as MRP preferred.
- Detail-oriented mindset, with a focus on accuracy and precision in all planning activities.
- Prior experience navigating through ERP/purchasing software and Power BI a plus.
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Must have excellent communication skills because of daily contact with internal employees and suppliers.
- Must be able to pass a background check, drug test, and a reference check.
Physical Demands:
- Required to type, have eye/hand/foot coordination, sit, occasionally stand, walk, lift, carry, push, pull, kneel, reach, and grasp.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- This position works in a typical office, manufacturing, and lab environment.
- Clarity of vision including the ability to appropriately differentiate colors.
