We value technical excellence, collaboration, and long-term client partnerships.Position SummaryThe Electrical Project Engineer plays a key role in the design and delivery of electrical systems for healthcare and K-12 education projects. This position is responsible for managing the technical execution of projects from concept through construction, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, and ensuring high-quality, code-compliant design solutions.This role is well-suited for an experienced electrical engineer who enjoys hands-on design work, project ownership, and client interaction, and who is looking to continue growing technically while taking on increasing project responsibility.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Engineering & DesignDevelop and coordinate electrical designs including power distribution, lighting systems, low-voltage systems, and fire alarm systems.Prepare drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation for healthcare and education projects, including renovations and new construction.Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, Title 24, healthcare requirements, etc.).Perform quality control reviews and address comments from clients, reviewers, and authorities having jurisdiction.Project Coordination & Client InteractionManage assigned projects or portions of larger projects, supporting schedules, budgets, and deliverables.Serve as a day-to-day technical point of contact for clients, architects, and consultants.Participate in client meetings, design coordination meetings, and construction administration activities.Support field reviews, RFIs, submittal reviews, and contractor coordination.Team Collaboration & MentorshipCoordinate work with designers, drafters, and junior engineers.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less-experienced staff.Collaborate closely with senior engineers and principals on complex design challenges.Business & Process SupportContribute technical input to proposals and project pursuits as needed.Assist with improving internal workflows, standards, and design processes.Stay current with evolving codes, technologies, and best practices in healthcare and education design.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.PE license preferred 6-10 years of electrical engineering experience, ideally including healthcare and/or K-12 projects.Strong understanding of electrical building systems and applicable codes and standards.Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and standard electrical design software.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Clear communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.What Success Looks LikeIndependently manages electrical design tasks and project deliverables with minimal oversight.Produces accurate, coordinated, and high-quality construction documents.Builds strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and internal teams.Supports junior staff development while maintaining project efficiency and quality.Contributes positively to client satisfaction and repeat business.Compensation & BenefitsSalary Range: $140k-$170k equityComprehensive benefits package including health, dental, retirement contributions, and PTOProfessional development support and licensing assistanceLong-term growth opportunities within a stable and collaborative firm
