Warehouse Receiving Supervisor duties and responsibilities:
Warehouse Receiving Supervisor manages the daily in-bound logistics, ensuring accurate, safe, and efficient unloading, inspection, and inventory logging of incoming goods. They lead warehouse staff, maintain inventory accuracy, enforce safety regulations (OSHA), and optimize storage space to meet operational goals. Key duties include scheduling personnel, verifying shipments, and utilizing WMS software. Key Responsibilities
- Operations Oversight: Manage the unloading, sorting, and processing of all incoming deliveries to ensure accuracy and promptness.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor receiving personnel, including creating work schedules and handling performance management.
- Inventory & Documentation: Verify shipping documents (bills of lading, packing slips) against physical inventory, ensuring proper labeling and data entry into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce company policies and safety standards, including OSHA regulations, and maintain a clean, organized, and secure facility.
- Quality Control: Inspect inbound goods for damage or defects, document discrepancies, and resolve vendor/freight issues.
- Process Improvement: Develop strategies to optimize receiving workflows, reduce bottlenecks, and improve operational efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience in warehouse operations, specifically receiving and inventory control, often with 2-5 years in a supervisory role.
- Equipment Proficiency: Certification to operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), data entry, and software like Microsoft Excel.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and time-management abilities.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Extended periods of standing, walking, and working in various temperature environments.

Pay: $41,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
