The Indiana Farm Bureau, Inc. public policy team advocates on behalf of Hoosier farmers and Indiana agriculture. While our lobbyists push through state legislation, on-the-ground teams assist individual farmers with local concerns. Staff, leadership and member volunteers also advocate in Washington to make sure federal policy favors farmers and agriculture.

As a summer intern you will work approximately 37.5 hours per week at our downtown headquarters, from mid-May to Mid-August, with the possibility of occasional after-hours events.


Work will center on activities that enhance Farm Bureau member engagement in public policy and understanding how the policy will impact Indiana agriculture.

What we’re looking for:

  • Agricultural background preferred
  • Strong interest in public policy issues and government
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences and personalities
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Applicants should be self-motivated and detailed-oriented
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • College student in their sophomore through senior year
