What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Policy Intern - Summer 2027 position at FB Incorporated?
The Indiana Farm Bureau, Inc. public policy team advocates on behalf of Hoosier farmers and Indiana agriculture. While our lobbyists push through state legislation, on-the-ground teams assist individual farmers with local concerns. Staff, leadership and member volunteers also advocate in Washington to make sure federal policy favors farmers and agriculture.
As a summer intern you will work approximately 37.5 hours per week at our downtown headquarters, from mid-May to Mid-August, with the possibility of occasional after-hours events.
Work will center on activities that enhance Farm Bureau member engagement in public policy and understanding how the policy will impact Indiana agriculture.

What we’re looking for:
- Agricultural background preferred
- Strong interest in public policy issues and government
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences and personalities
- Time management and organizational skills
- Applicants should be self-motivated and detailed-oriented
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- College student in their sophomore through senior year
