Overview
The role of the Production Laborer is to perform necessary functions to efficiently, safely, and correctly prepare and process raw material using a wide range of methods and equipment for shipment to customers.
Responsibilities
- Follow daily production schedule and achieve specified goals.
· Rotate to different production lines.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ensure product conforms to specifications.
- Prepare and sort meat for processing by hand or by using equipment.
- Work with machinery for sorting, sizing, and packaging.
- Inspect meat for defects.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
- Apply quality assurance practices, hygiene and sanitation practices, and safe work policies and procedures.
- Learn and understand the concepts of (what do these acronyms stand for) HACCP, SOP, and GMP.
- Sort product before loading and unloading.
- Attach identifying tags to individual product and/or containers or mark them with identifying information.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing facility is preferred.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and assembly line processes is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing production needs.
- Physical ability to lift, move, and assemble products as required throughout the shift.

Pay: $16.50 - $21.00 per hour
