What You Will Do
Project Planning, Design & Implementation
- Lead the planning, design, and delivery of water and sewer infrastructure projects.
- Conduct engineering analyses, studies, and system modeling to support project design.
- Review plans and specifications and resolve design or construction issues.
- Lead cross‑functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Serve as a technical resource for internal teams and project stakeholders.
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, regulators, and the public to ensure compliant project delivery.
- Maintain accurate utility documentation, including GIS data and as‑built records.
- Support reliability efforts through occasional on‑call or extended‑hour response needs.
- Promote safe, sustainable, and cost‑effective engineering practices across all work activities.
What is Required
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive civil engineering experience within a utility, water/wastewater, or infrastructure environment.
- Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification at hire; ability to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) licensure when eligible, or within two years.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Proficiency with engineering software, modeling tools, and GIS/mapping systems.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information to non‑technical audiences.
- Experience with utility design, construction oversight, or municipal engineering.
- Familiarity with water/wastewater system modeling or surveying practices.
