Substitute Teacher – Fayetteville Montessori School
Location: Fayetteville, Arkansas
Position Type: Part-Time (with potential for Full-Time)

We are currently seeking Substitute Teachers to support our dedicated staff and faculty. This role is essential in ensuring consistent, loving care and a stable learning environment for children from 6 weeks to 5 years old when lead or assistant teachers are unavailable.
Key Responsibilities
Provide a warm, safe, and engaging environment that reflects Montessori values.
Support children’s learning and development through observation and gentle guidance.
Step into classrooms with confidence, maintaining continuity in daily routines and activities.
Foster respectful, kind, and open communication with children, colleagues, and parents.
Help maintain a clean, orderly, and welcoming classroom space.
Collaborate with staff to uphold a strong, nurturing school community.
Comfortably assist with physical care needs, including diapering and toileting.
Attend occasional staff meetings and trainings as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Familiarity with or openness to Montessori philosophy.
Strong communication and active listening skills.
Organized, reliable, and flexible in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Available to work a flexible weekday schedule with shifts including:
7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
