The Assisted Living Administrator is responsible for the overall management and operation of an assisted living facility, ensuring high-quality care for residents while maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

Role Overview

The Assisted Living Administrator oversees the day-to-day operations of the facility, coordinates resident care, manages staff, and ensures the facility meets state and federal requirements. The role requires strong leadership, healthcare administration knowledge, and the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and community partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facility Management: Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure safety, health, and well-being of residents and staff.
  • Staff Oversight: Hire, train, supervise, and mentor staff, while fostering a positive work environment.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all state and federal laws, including resident rights and healthcare regulations.
  • Resident Care Coordination: Work with healthcare teams to deliver personalized care plans, manage medical needs, and promote independence.
  • Budget & Finance: Manage facility budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial sustainability in.
  • Community Relations: Serve as a liaison between residents/families and the facility, addressing concerns and maintaining trust.
  • Program Development: Create and maintain activities and programs that enhance residents’ quality of life.
  • Maintenance & Operations: Oversee facility upkeep, safety measures, and emergency preparedness.

Qualifications

  • Education: require a nursing home administrator license or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications: NHA license or equivalent; knowledge of disaster plans and infection control.
  • Experience: 1–3 years in healthcare administration or assisted living management; experience with dementia care.
  • Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities; computer literacy; ability to handle sensitive resident information.

Working Conditions.

  • May work weekends, holidays, and irregular hours to meet resident needs.

Pay: $50,905.26 - $61,305.26 per year
