Responsibilities
- Perform slaughtering tasks in accordance with established procedures and regulations.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation throughout the slaughter floor to ensure compliance with OSHA and HACCP guidelines.
- Operate and maintain equipment used in the slaughtering process, demonstrating mechanical knowledge as needed.
- Utilize knife skills for meat cutting, ensuring precision and quality in product preparation.
- Assist in packaging finished products for distribution while adhering to food safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules.
- Participate in ongoing training related to food processing, sanitation practices, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, HACCP principles, and food safety practices is essential.
- Strong knife skills and experience with meat cutting techniques are highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.
