JOB SUMMARY
Direct and coordinate information systems support; maintain and produce documentation and reports for users and provide problem resolution; administer security and maintain confidentiality related to the information systems of the district.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Develop and maintain a strategic approach for meeting the needs of the district to support staff by coordinating the work of the information systems.
- Recommend and coordinate the use of business application development platforms and tools to ensure current standards of school business development are maintained
- Assist other developers on the team with complex projects and needs; serve as project leader as required
- Work with the manager of the financial systems to identify needs and prioritize the work of the information support team.
- Maintain current knowledge of developments, issues, and advancements in computer application hardware and software
- Maintain contact with users to analyze system performance and efficiency; provide training support and consult with users to discuss desired outcomes and user expectations
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate in more than one language or the willingness to learn to communicate in more than one language at the novice level of proficiency.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Current versions of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and other operating systems and desktop applications employed by the district
- Principles and techniques of SQL database structures and computer application coding and development
- Microsoft SQL Server database administration
- TimeIPS and AESOP administration, including the technologies needed for integration into MUNIS Systems.
- Current versions of common business application development languages and tools in a Microsoft environment, including SQL and Informix 4GL, SSRS, etc.
- Rapid Application Development (RAD) tools and methodologies
ABILITY TO:
- Use personal computers, devices, cloud, and peripherals
- Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action
- Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others; meet schedules and timelines
- Plan and organize work independently and with little direct supervision

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Three years as a successful MIS user in a school district or three years of increasingly responsible programming experience with a school financial system or environmental resource planning (ERP) software.
