What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Special Services position at Fayette County Public Schools?
The responsibilities of the Director of Special Education are to implement and maintain birth to age 21 Special Education programs and services in conformance to District, State and Federal objectives.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in special education or above
- Knowledge of State and Federal legislation as it relates to Special Education
- Knowledge of budget and funding requirements for Special Education
- Hold appropriate Tennessee teaching and administrator's license
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an administrator preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of special education teacher experience
