Executive Assistant
The Fayette County Commission is seeking a detail-oriented Executive Assistant to provide administrative and financial support to the County Administrator and County Commission.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the County Administrator and County Commission.
- Answer phones, greet visitors, and serve as the primary reception contact.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with account reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Order and maintain office supplies and equipment.
- Prepare correspondence, maintain filing systems, and assist with general office operations.
- Provide excellent customer service to employees, vendors, elected officials, and the public.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in Business, Accounting, or Office Administration preferred.
- Minimum of three years of administrative, bookkeeping, or office experience preferred.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, or bookkeeping strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities with accuracy and professionalism.
- Must submit to a background check.
The successful candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional service while supporting the daily operations of the County Commission.
Pay: From $35,000.00 per year
