What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Road Maintenance Worker - Weed Eater - Road Department position at Fayette Chamber of Commerce (GA)?
This is a seasonal position without benefits. This position will perform daily labor-intensive tasks for the maintenance of county roadways which includes daily operation of a weed eater.

- Daily operation of weed eater as part of the Department’s right-of-way mowing crew
- Operation of a Crew Cab truck
- Learn to operate a grass tractor, zero-turn mower, bush hog and weed eater to maintain the grass alongside the roads in the County.
- Learn how to properly use a chainsaw
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of road construction, repair, and maintenance
- Learn how to properly set-up safe work-zone devices and flag traffic
- Learn how to tie-down construction equipment for safe transportation
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Possession of a valid Class C driver's license issued by the State of Georgia;
- No experience requirements.
