Job Summary
The Dock Associate provides support to store operations by receiving and sorting donations and delivering to the Store Associates. He/she works within the guidelines, policies, and mission of the organization and will be accountable and responsible for specific projects as assigned.

Responsibilities
- Ensure daily dock goals, projects and needs are accomplished through direction given by the Assistant Store Manager
- Help donors that are bringing items to the store and provide donation receipt along with superior customer service.
- Work with volunteers and staff for dock coverage throughout the day to include lunches and breaks.
- Train and work with any community service workers regarding assignments in the dock area.
- Ensure all equipment is accessible and stored in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Overseas dumpster usage.
- Collect and dispose of all cardboard.
- Manage oversized items throughout the store and with customer pick-up.
- Drive truck when needed for pickups, trash disposal, and deliveries.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties of this job classification.
- Ability to withstand inclement weather, rain, snow, heat, cold
- Ability to exhibit proper lifting techniques
- Patience during the fast pace of the donation drop off
- Strict adherence to safety requirements
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment
- Exhibits discretion, flexibility, and willingness to work closely with the management team
