FAYCO Enterprises, Inc. is looking for a Transition Specialist to join our team that has a strong desire to have a positive effect on adults with developmental disabilities and a commitment to supporting and promoting their individual needs, skills, and abilities, and personal goals. In this rewarding position as a Transition Specialist, you will assist individuals with intellectual disabilities to live more independently in their community, build work skills, and maintain activities of daily living.
FAYCO Enterprises, Inc. is a not-for-profit agency with funding secured by contracts with the State of Illinois and we have been providing services to individuals with intellectual disabilities for over 45 years in Fayette, Bond, and Montgomery counties. We are currently looking for a Transition Specialist to develop and maintain ongoing education and vocational training as well as support opportunities to prepare disabled adults for community employment and volunteer opportunities. The successful applicant for the Transition Specialist must be able to develop and maintain liaisons with businesses and industries in the area in order to provide those opportunities for job-ready individuals. This is a full-time position working daytime hours Monday through Friday. Primary worksite would be located in Greenville, IL.
Requirements:
*Must have a valid driver’s license & reliable transportation
*Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
*Must be able to lift
*Must be at least 21 years old
