Duties
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe their condition to ensure safety and well-being
- Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with cooking, ensuring dietary needs are met
- Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely to support mobility and transfers
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient care, progress notes, and incident reports in compliance with HIPAA standards
- Support residents’ participation in social activities, community outings, and recreational programs to promote engagement and quality of life
Experience
- Previous experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes
- Experience with patient observation, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and care planning
- Familiarity with working with individuals with autism or disabilities ensures tailored support strategies
- Hands-on experience using mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or resident transfer devices
- Certification in CPR and first aid is required; this is a paid training that our agency provides for you
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
