Press Operator 20 Ton & Over

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Obtain supplies, position work and follow verbal or written instructions
• Operate a wide variety of presses include brake and punch
• Load and unload parts into presses as required
• Review quality of parts produced and note deviation from approved part
• Reports problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to supervisor
• Complete tasks as directed with minimum supervision
• Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards
• Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task
• Perform other duties as directed that correspond to the overall function of this position
• Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities
• Desire to learn and work to the best of his/her abilities as well as dependable work ethic
• Follow all company rules and policies

Knowledge and Skills:

1. Adequate communication skills; verbal and written

2. Ability to read and understand written instructions

Physical Requirements:

1. Physically able to do bending, twisting, gripping, grasping and lifting

2. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

3. Physically able to stand for up to 8 hours

4. Requires good hand-eye coordination

Education and Work Experience:

1. High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience/combined education

Operate a variety of presses to the acceptable standards. Also required to perform other tasks, as assigned by their supervisor.
