Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire

Setting: Hospital

Location: Great Bend, KS

Schedule: Full-Time, Day-Time hours, 8 or 10 hour shifts available, rotating weeknight, weekend and holiday call

Pay: Based on experience with mid-point starting at $31/hr. Full benefits package included!

The Ultrasound Technician will be responsible for but may not be limited to:

• Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations, using cognitive sonographic skills to identify, document, and adapt examinations as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images
• Use independent judgment during the sonographic exam to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings and communicates findings to the interpreting radiologist
• Explains the sonographic examination being performed and answers any patient questions
• Selects and operates a wide variety of imaging equipment in an efficient and safe manner, coordinates examinations

Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited ultrasound program
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or ARDMS Board Eligible
• Experience/specialty in abdomen or OB/GYN preferred
• BLS certification required or must complete BLS certification with in the first two weeks of employment
