Job Description:
This part-time Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) will manage a health and wellness program for a large healthcare hospital system. Responsibilities include providing specialized diabetes care and education in-person at client worksites, preventing, managing, and supporting those with diabetes through Medical Nutrition Therapy and other evidence-based interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive health and wellness program for hospital system employees
- Provide in-person diabetes care and education at client worksites
- Engage with communities through health fairs, educational seminars, and hands-on cooking demonstrations
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience as a Dietitian/Diabetes Educator, be licensed/registered in the state of New York, and certified as a CDCES. This role requires strong public speaking skills and the ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.
