Schedule: Sunday – Thursday, 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM (40 hours)
Employment Type: Full-Time Exempt
Salary: $ 50,000 annually
Reports To: Residential Manager, Coordinator & Director
Department: Residential Housing - CRS/CLA
About the Role
Favarh is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Housing Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of a residential program serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role assists with staff supervision, medication oversight, documentation, and participant support to ensure a safe, respectful, and person-centered living environment. The Assistant Manager may act in the Manager’s absence and plays a key role in promoting independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
Program Operations & Participant Support
- Support daily operations of the assigned residential program
- Implement individual programs that promote independence and skill development
- Uphold and promote participants’ human and civil rights
- Complete daily communication, behavior, nursing, and individual logs
- Provide individual counseling for minor adjustment issues; refer complex concerns to the Manager
- Ensure behavioral and restraint procedures are followed by the agency policy
- Remain on duty until relief staff is secured
- Provide Assistant Manager coverage at other residential sites as assigned
Medication Administration
- Supervise accurate medication administration with Nurse oversight
- Ensure timely and accurate dispensing of prescribed medications
- Order participant medications as needed
- Maintain medication records in collaboration with the Favarh Nurse
Staff Support & Training
- Assist the Residential Manager with staff supervision
- Provide on-the-floor orientation and training to instructors
- Ensure staff are trained in and consistently use Therap
Documentation & Compliance
- Utilize Therap for all program documentation
- Maintain household and program management records
- Ensure transportation is provided according to agency policies
- Attend meetings and required training
- Report on operational concerns and suggest improvements
Community & Agency Engagement
- Promote positive public relations for Favarh
- Participating in agency events and fundraising activities
Qualifications
Required
- Valid Connecticut Driver’s License (or Rideshare-approved state)
- Ability to safely implement restraint procedures and administer CPR
- Medication Administration Certification (required within 6 months of hire)
- PMT Certification (required within 6 months of hire)
Education
- Two years of college in Special Education, Human Services, or a related field preferred
- High School Diploma/GED with substantial related experience may be considered
Experience
- Minimum two years of experience in Health, Education, Rehabilitation, or Residential Services preferred

Physical Requirements
