CARRIE WHITE: 17-25, Any/All Gender, Ethnicity. To play age 17, a social outcast who is relentlessly bullied by both classmates and mother, Margaret. At the late age of 17, has first menstrual period in the showers at school, which triggers telekinetic powers, which sets in motion the infamous disaster that takes place on Prom Night. (Mezzo-Soprano, A3-E5)

MARGARET WHITE: 40s-60s, Any/All Gender, Ethnicity. Carrie’s mother, a religious zealot. No understanding of “love” and believes it is God’s will to not only protect Carrie from the world, but the world from Carrie. (Soprano, E5-C4)

SUE SNELL: 17-25, Any/All Gender, Ethnicity. To play age 17, a popular teen dating Tommy Ross. After tormenting Carrie White in the locker room, Sue begins to feel remorse and sets out to make amends, whether that be for true good or for her own conscience. (Mezzo-Soprano, A3-E5)

CHRIS HARGENSEN: 17-25, Any/All Gender, Ethnicity. To play age 17, a spoiled-rotten, arrogant rich kid who believes the rules do not apply. Serious anger-management issues and possibly psychotic; willing to murder a pig and pour it on a classmate just for getting kicked out of Prom. (Mezzo-Soprano, A3-E5 with Rock Belt)

MISS GARDNER: 30s-60s, Any/All Gender, Ethnicity. The high school gym teacher, sympathetic towards Carrie and counsels her, looking to improve the situation in any way. (Alto, A3-B4)

TOMMY ROSS: 17-25, Any/All Gender, Ethnicity. To play age 17, Sue’s boyfriend, a popular athlete with a good heart. A gifted student whose poetry is published in literary journals. On the request of Sue Snell, Tommy takes Carrie White to the Prom. (Tenor, B2-C5)

BILLY NOLAN: 17-25, Any/All Gender, Ethnicity. To play 17-19, Chris’s dimwitted and abusive boyfriend who sees his partner more as an enemy than romance. (Baritone, B2-C5)

MR. STEPHENS: 30s-60s, Any/All Gender, Ethnicity. The high school Principal who means well but doesn’t have a clue. (Baritone, G2-E4)

NORMA: 17-25, Any/All Gender, Ethnicity. The school gossip, shameless bootlicker, and crony to Chris. (Mezzo-Soprano, A3-E5)

FREIDA: 17-25, Any/All Gender, Ethnicity. The easy-going, get-along follower, and tireless extracurricular activity volunteer brainy friend of Sue. (Mezzo-Soprano, A3-E5)

HELEN: 17-25, Any/All Gender, Ethnicity. The perfect example of herd mentality - immature and obsessive desire to belong; giggly and easily shocked. (Mezzo-Soprano, A3-E5)

GEORGE: 17-25, Any/All Gender, Ethnicity. Tommy’s wingman since childhood. Possibly in love with Tommy. (Tenor, B2-C5)
