FORVIA is looking for a year-round Data Science Intern for its headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan. ## Your mission, roles and responsibilities * Assist in designing, building, and testing machine learning models for use cases such as computer vision, predictive maintenance, and anomaly detection. * Support the development of end-to-end ML workflows, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation. * Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and business teams to understand data and contribute to solving practical problems using AI. * Help optimize model performance and experiment with different algorithms under guidance from senior team members. * Use Python and common machine learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn) to develop and test models. * Assist in integrating models into applications and workflows alongside data and software engineers. * Contribute to exploratory AI initiatives, including generative AI use cases. * Document code, experiments, and findings to support reproducibility and knowledge sharing. * Stay current with emerging trends in data science and machine learning. ## Your profile and competencies to succeed * Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program * Data analysis and excel skills are a plus * Majors in computer science, data analysis, or related firld * Graduation of 2027 or later * Minimum 2.8 GPA ## What we can do for you * At Forvia, you will find an engaging and dynamic environment where you can contribute to the development of sustainable mobility leading technologies. * We are the seventh-largest global automotive supplier, employing more than 157,000 people in more than 40 countries which makes a lot of opportunity for career development. * We welcome energetic and agile people who can thrive in a fast-changing environment.
