The Shipping Clerk is responsible for updating the ERP system to process the shipments of customer orders in the warehouse and all of the required documentation regarding shipments to invoice correctly. Coordinates with LTL and truckload carrier companies for order pickup and hours of operation.

Job Summary
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for updating the ERP system to process the shipments of customer orders in the warehouse and all of the required documentation regarding shipments to invoice correctly. Coordinates with LTL and truckload carrier companies for order pickup and hours of operation.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Work with Logistics team and customer service on any shipments that have issues (not enough inventory, truck didn’t show, etc....)
- Work with Warehouse Lead on orders that are shipping for the day
- Print daily orders for picking
- Post shipments throughout the day
- Provide count sheets to the warehouse and small pack team as needed.
- Perform PO receipts within 1 business day of receipt
- Knowledge of how to process RANS when Lead and Supervisor are out.
- Monitor Shipping email and voicemail throughout the day and action as necessary
- Review customer orders in Order Management (CMS / Epicor) system, and generate pick lists, ASN labels and shipping documents for warehouse operators to pull LTL and Truckload orders
- Enter data required to properly update customer Bills of Lading – BOL, in the system
- Trailer Number (seal number) / Number and Type of Pallets / Pallet Sheets / ASN Labels
- Hazmat Placards / Hazmat Waiver / Consolidated BOL / Carrier SCAC code & order type
- Shipping Labels / PRO # Stickers for LTL carriers / Post BOL’s in system / cycle count sheets
- Generate Bills of Lading for carriers to sign and document shipments from warehouse
- Verify BOL information including quantities, weights and customer special instructions are accurate
- Collaborate with Logistics, Accounting, Sales, and other departments to resolve customer issues
- Maintain professional courtesy when dealing with carriers, customers and department staff
- Provide directions to truck drivers trying to locate the Faultless warehouse
- Respond to phone call and email inquiries quickly and follow up on any missed calls to provide important customer order and/or warehouse information
- Contact LTL carriers each day to communicate warehouse pickup and delivery schedules
- Receive inbound Purchase Orders for incoming freight from suppliers
- Manage and update the Driver’s Log for all truck drivers to record their arrival and departure times
- Ensure International order Commercial Invoices are accurate and complete Dangerous Goods form
- Review and update shipping document information regarding customer order compliance
- Research inventory
- Other duties as assigned
- Demonstrates ability to organize, prioritize and follow through with daily responsibilities
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Must be team-oriented, accurate, have a positive attitude, and collaborate well with others
- Must have excellent organizational skills
- Needs to be a self-motivator
- Has ability to learn CMS
- Encourages teamwork
- Six to twelve months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
