Duties
- Safely operate equipment to transport materials efficiently.
- Load and unload cargo using manual techniques or mechanical aids while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle maintenance records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve issues promptly.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety guidelines to ensure safe driving practices at all times.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating heavy trucks and specialized equipment.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, especially with delivery routes involving manual transmission vehicles.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting and vehicle inspections.
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record; familiarity with heavy-duty vehicles is essential.
