Responsibilities
- Provide individual counseling and therapeutic support to high school students in the foster care system.
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Utilize evidence-based interventions to address trauma, anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, and other mental health needs.
- Collaborate with school staff, caregivers, case managers, and other professionals involved in the student's care.
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and coordinate services to ensure continuity of care.
- Promote emotional wellness, resilience, and positive coping skills among students.
Qualifications Required
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
- Current Florida license or registration as one of the following:
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
- Registered Clinical Social Work Intern
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Registered MFT Intern
- Ability to work independently as a 1099 contractor.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience working with adolescents.
- Experience providing services within a school setting.
- Experience working with children and families involved in the foster care or child welfare system.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and evidence-based interventions.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Daytime hours aligned with the school calendar
