Bakery Clerk/Assistant Barista

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Barista, Customer Service Associate, Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Your primary responsibilities will include processing transactions, assisting customers with inquiries, packaging their order and maintaining a well-organized store environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance throughout their shopping experience.
• Operate cash registers efficiently, handling cash transactions accurately.
• Process sales transactions and returns in a timely manner.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to effectively assist customers.
• Stock shelves and ensure product displays are organized and visually appealing.
• Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and register operations.
• Communicate effectively with customers, addressing their needs and concerns with professionalism.
• Utilize phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries via phone or in-person.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain store standards.
• Keeping a CLEAN & SAFE environment for both the customers and employees.
• Using the skills during barista training to produce delicious beverages.

Requirements

• Proven experience in customer service or retail environment is preferred.
• Strong cash handling skills and familiarity with cash registers.
• Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members.
• Knowledge of retail math concepts is a plus.
• Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist a diverse customer base.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
• Assist our lead barista in making drinks while maintain a clean and organized bar station.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
