Interface Engineering Lead – Financial Management Systems

Salary: $140,000 – $160,000 Annually (Based on Experience and Technical Interview)

Position Overview

Fathom Management, Inc. is seeking an experienced Interface Engineering Lead to support the Federal Government Program Financial Management Business Transformation (FMBT) Program and iFAMS implementation efforts. This role will be responsible for leading the design, development, testing, and deployment of enterprise interfaces supporting Momentum Financials across multiple implementation waves.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Momentum integrations, enterprise interface development, Agile delivery methodologies, and implementation environments. This individual will lead interface engineering teams while serving as the primary technical advisor for interface architecture, integration strategies, and system interoperability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all interface development activities supporting iFAMS implementation waves.
• Manage teams responsible for interface analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Develop and maintain both real-time and batch interfaces supporting Momentum Financials and related systems.
• Collaborate with Integration and Systems Integrator (SI) teams to ensure interface compatibility with iFAMS configurations.
• Analyze business processes and identify interface requirements, dependencies, and integration opportunities.
• Ensure interface designs align with technical architecture, business requirements, and Federal Government Program standards.
• Conduct root cause analysis and resolve interface-related issues and defects.
• Participate in stakeholder meetings and provide technical leadership on integration approaches and best practices.
• Support requirements gathering, solution design, configuration documentation, testing, and deployment activities.
• Ensure compliance with Federal Government Program Process Improvement (VIP) methodology and Agile delivery frameworks.
• Support federal government-mandated initiatives and modernization efforts.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of Financial Management Systems industry experience.
• Minimum 5 years leading enterprise interface development teams.
• Minimum 5 years supporting Momentum Financials interface development and implementation efforts.
• Minimum 2 years managing Agile projects and delivery teams.
• Experience developing and supporting:
  • Real-time integrations
  • Batch processing interfaces
  • Enterprise application integrations
  • Data exchange solutions
• Experience supporting large-scale ERP or Financial Management System implementations.
• Strong understanding of systems integration, interface architecture, and data exchange methodologies.
• Experience analyzing business requirements and translating them into technical interface solutions.
• Outstanding analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to prioritize work, manage competing demands, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Federal Government Programs. 
• Experience supporting iFAMS implementations.
• Knowledge of Federal Government Program Process Improvement methodology.
• Experience supporting federal ERP modernization programs.
• Experience working within Agile and SAFe environments.
• Familiarity with Momentum Financials integration architecture and interface frameworks.
• Experience supporting financial and acquisition system integrations.
