- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Administer medication following care plans and ensure proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to safely transfer clients and prevent injury
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks like cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces
- Provide emotional support and companionship to foster a positive, engaging atmosphere for clients
Qualifications
- Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home, or group home settings preferred
- Certification or training in CPR and First Aid required; additional certifications such as HIPAA compliance are a plus
- Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or other special needs
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility tasks safely
