Position Description:
Responsible for assisting the accounting manager with daily invoicing, accounts payables, accounts receivables, and various other clerical functions.
Reporting Structure:
Reports to: Accounting Manager, CFO
Supervises: N/A
Job Status: Nonexempt, Full-time
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities:
Essential duties may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for entering all accounts payables and receivables.
- Process daily, weekly, and monthly invoices.
- Code expense to general ledger accounts daily.
- Record, classify, summarize accounting transactions, and verify accuracy (itemized charges, account numbers, total cost, etc.).
- Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.
- Operate 10-key calculator and copier to perform calculations and produce documents.
- Reconcile accounts and assist in the compilation of reports.
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasting.
- Utilize accounting and data software to record, store, and analyze information.
- Create and manage debit, credit, and total accounts on spreadsheets, databases, and accounting software.
- Data entry, filing, and other related duties in the accounting department.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- General knowledge of accounting principles
- Knowledge of accounting software applications, databases, and spreadsheets (Peachtree experience a plus)
- Must have knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
- Must have knowledge of managing files and records
- Must have oral and written comprehension and expression
- Must have the ability to choose the right mathematical methods or formulas to solve problems
- Knowledge of MS Word and Excel
- Ability to multi-task
- Must understand and practice the NASW (National Association of Social Workers) Code of Ethics
- Must be team oriented and able to work independently
Educational and Experience Requirements:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED. AA degree in accounting preferred.
- Must have 1 to 2 years’ experience in accounting or equivalent education.
Other:
- Must possess a valid Missouri driver’s license and have a reliable, insured vehicle
- PPE per CDC and WHO guidelines. Pandemic work plan in place.
- Salary: $21.00 – $24.00 per hour

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
Ability to commute/relocate: St. Louis, MO 63103. Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
