Position Summary
The Engagement Coordinator plays a vital role in advancing the mission of Father’s Love through donor communications, fundraising, and volunteer engagement while also serving directly in our after-school programming.
This position connects the ministry’s story to its supporters by creating meaningful relationships and compelling communications that share how God is transforming lives. The Engagement Coordinator’s participation in classroom instruction helps ensure that storytelling and fundraising efforts reflect firsthand experience and authentic impact.
Key ResponsibilitiesDonor Communications- Develop and manage a donor communication plan, including newsletters, email updates, and social media storytelling.
- Write and share impact stories, photos, and videos that reflect student transformation and ministry outcomes.
- Assist in maintaining accurate donor records and ensure timely, personalized acknowledgments.
- Coordinate with the Executive Director to strengthen donor relationships through consistent gratitude and follow-up.
- Manage social media content and website updates to highlight ministry milestones and community engagement.
- Assist with researching, writing, and reporting on grants.
- Assist in developing partnerships with churches, businesses, and community organizations to support ministry growth.
- Help with creative designs for sponsorship opportunities, annual fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director to strengthen overall development strategies and donor engagement efforts.
- Assist with volunteer recruitment, communication, and appreciation efforts.
- Support volunteer orientation and training in collaboration with the Programs Team.
- Maintain positive relationships with volunteers and promote long-term engagement through consistent connection and encouragement.
- Serve as an instructor during after-school programming under the direction of the Director and Assistant Director of Programs.
- Lead small groups or activities aligned with the ministry’s Christ-centered curriculum.
- Build positive relationships with students that reflect God’s love and promote growth in character and faith.
- Assist with classroom management and program logistics as needed.
- Capture student stories and program highlights for donor and community communications.
- Faith & Values: A mature Christian committed to serving others and modeling Christlike leadership.
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, nonprofit leadership, or a related field preferred. Relevant experience in donor relations, fundraising, or marketing (minimum 2 years) may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and visual storytelling skills; able to connect with diverse audiences.
- Organization: Able to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively across teams.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Canva, social media management platforms, and Google Workspace tools (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms).
- Ministry Mindset: Enjoys relational ministry with children and volunteers; flexible, team-oriented, and mission-driven.
