Outdoor Living Designer and Consultant

Father Nature Landscape & Hardscape exists to help people create beautiful landscapes and outdoor living spaces where they can enjoy life outdoors with family and friends.

We are seeking a creative, organized, and customer-focused Outdoor Living Designer & Consultant to meet with homeowners, understand their vision, and transform their ideas into thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces.

This role combines creativity, customer interaction, and design expertise. You will be the person who helps homeowners visualize what is possible for their property while collaborating with our sales team to bring those ideas to life.

As an Outdoor Living Designer & Consultant, you will meet with homeowners at their properties to understand their goals, lifestyle needs, and design preferences. You will evaluate outdoor spaces, gather project details, create design concepts, and collaborate with our sales team throughout the process.

This position is focused on the creative design and customer experience side of the process. Our sales team will handle project pricing, proposal presentations, closing, and scheduling, allowing you to focus on creating exceptional outdoor living solutions.

• Base Salary: $45,000–$65,000 annually depending on experience and skill level
• Performance Incentives: Additional earning opportunities based on completed projects, customer satisfaction, and design contributions
• Estimated Annual Earnings: $50,000–$75,000 based on experience and performance

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys design, working with homeowners, and creating outdoor spaces that improve how people live and enjoy their properties.

• Meet with homeowners to understand their outdoor living goals and vision
• Conduct onsite consultations and evaluate property layouts and opportunities
• Take measurements, photos, and detailed project notes
• Create creative, functional, and visually appealing outdoor living concepts
• Develop designs for projects including:
• Paver patios
• Outdoor kitchens
• Fire pits
• Walkways
• Retaining walls
• Sitting walls
• Planting designs
• Landscape enhancements
• Outdoor entertainment spaces
• Collaborate with the sales team to ensure designs align with client expectations and project goals
• Communicate design ideas clearly with homeowners and internal teams
• Make revisions based on customer feedback
• Stay informed on current landscape, hardscape, and outdoor living trends
• Maintain accurate project information and organized client notes

• Experience in landscape design, outdoor living design, architecture, construction design, or a related field preferred
• Strong understanding of landscape materials, hardscapes, plants, and outdoor environments
• Ability to listen to homeowners and translate their ideas into practical design solutions
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Comfortable meeting with clients at their homes and discussing design possibilities
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and clean driving record required

• Experience with landscape design software, CAD, SketchUp, or similar programs
• Knowledge of pavers, patios, outdoor kitchens, lighting, irrigation, and landscaping
• Experience designing outdoor living spaces for residential properties
• Portfolio showcasing previous design work
• Experience working with higher-end residential clients
