Server/Bartender Hybrid - Fat Baby Barbecue x Blue Ox Hillsboro

Do you enjoy making people feel welcome and delivering great dining experiences? Fat Baby Barbecue, inside Blue Ox Axe Throwing in Downtown Hillsboro, is hiring friendly, reliable team members who can serve guests, run food, and keep the floor moving with energy and professionalism. You’ll be the link between the kitchen, bar, and guests—ensuring every visit runs smoothly.

We’re hiring two people who can confidently handle both serving and bartending shifts. You’ll be scheduled for a mix of floor and bar shifts depending on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and set a positive tone from the start

• Take accurate food and drink orders and enter them in the POS system

• Deliver orders quickly and ensure quality presentation

• Maintain tables, bar area, and restock supplies as needed

• Act as expo during busy services—organize, communicate, and run food efficiently

• Provide attentive, professional service throughout the guest experience

• Handle payments and close out tabs accurately

• Maintain cleanliness and organization behind the bar and in the dining area

• Work closely with axe coaches and other staff to create a smooth, upbeat guest experience

Requirements

• Proven experience in serving and/or bartending

• Strong multitasking and communication skills

• Ability to stay calm, organized, and upbeat during rushes

• Team-oriented attitude and reliable work ethic

• Knowledge of basic cocktails and draft beer service preferred

• Must be 21 and have or be able to obtain an OLCC permit and food handler’s card

Position Details:

• Part-time or Full-time available
• Looking for 20 - 35 ( /-) hours per week
• $16.30/hr tips ( $12-17 per hour extra)
• Average take-home is $26–$33/hr depending on the shift
• Weekdays weekends shifts
• Shifts typically range between 6 to 10 hours
