We are looking for an energetic, organized, and experienced Body Systems Design/Release Engineer to join our growing team. The DRE will be responsible for design and development of the body and related structures across the organization.
What You Get To Do
- Be an integral part of an energetic team that's challenging the status quo of vehicle design.
- Responsible for the design and development of body system components and complete assemblies.
- Develop and implement functional objectives to meet project performance targets.
- Manage all aspects of body component development to meet project requirements including performance, cost, mass, timing, manufacturability, etc.
- Lead collaboration between internal/external teams and suppliers to meet all project requirements.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
- 8 years of vehicle design experience in the areas of Body, Door, Platform.
- Excellent communication and team building skills.
- Ability to lead design teams through integration of related sub-systems into body structure.
- Broad knowledge of NHSTA/FMVSS requirements related to body structure.
- Ability and Desire work in a fun and fast paced environment
