Role Description The Sign Installer role is a full-time, on-site position based at FASTSIGNS Oakland in Oakland, CA. Day-to-day responsibilities include installing interior and exterior signs, graphics, and banners at customer locations, ensuring accurate placement, secure mounting, and a professional appearance. The role involves safely operating hand and power tools, following installation plans, reading measurements, and occasionally working at heights or on ladders. The Sign Installer will interact with customers on-site, verify job specifications, and provide basic guidance on sign use and care. Additional tasks may include assisting in the shop with sign preparation, loading and unloading materials, maintaining equipment, and following all safety procedures and company standards.

Qualifications
- Hands-on installation skills, including use of hand and power tools, measuring, mounting, and working at heights or on ladders.
- Basic construction or carpentry abilities, with experience reading layouts or blueprints and handling hardware and building materials.
- Customer service and communication skills to interact professionally with clients on-site, clarify requirements, and represent the company positively.
- Time management and organizational skills to handle multiple jobs, follow schedules, and complete installations efficiently and accurately.
- Commitment to safety practices, including proper use of PPE, adherence to OSHA and site safety rules, and careful operation of vehicles and equipment.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to drive to job sites throughout the local area.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and positioning signs and materials, and working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in sign installation, construction, facilities, or a related trade is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to learn FASTSIGNS products, ADA and wayfinding principles, and visual communication best practices.
