Responsibilities
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions quickly and securely
- Greet customers warmly, providing exceptional service with a positive attitude
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision and attention to detail
- Assist customers with product inquiries, including product demos and upselling opportunities
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Provide friendly phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support inventory management by stocking shelves and conducting regular stock checks
- Promote store promotions and new products to enhance sales opportunities
- Ensure a clean and organized checkout area to facilitate smooth customer flow
Experience
- Prior cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a focus on communication and problem-solving
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math calculations
- Experience with POS systems or similar technology is advantageous
