Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments, including vital signs, medical histories, and physiological evaluations.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses utilizing advanced clinical skills and evidence-based practices.
- Administer injections, including immunizations, Botulinum toxin treatments, dermal fillers, and other aesthetic laser treatments to enhance patient well-being.
- Manage complex cases involving critical care scenarios such as ICU or emergency room situations, including airway management and ventilator support.
- Perform procedures such as suturing, catheterization, spinal taps, phlebotomy, tube feeding management, and sterile processing techniques.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters and medical records.
- Coordinate with specialists in gastroenterology, infectious disease care, geriatrics, behavioral health, or hospice & palliative medicine to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Engage in telehealth consultations to extend access to care for remote or underserved populations while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with discharge planning, case management, utilization review, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays.
- Support infection control protocols and participate in laboratory experience including specimen collection/processing for diagnostic evaluation.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner in diverse clinical settings such as hospital medicine, urgent care, outpatient clinics, or assisted living facilities.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Athenahealth for medical documentation and patient data management.
- Strong background in performing procedures including IV infusion/insertion, suturing, catheter care, spinal taps, and dermal fillers.
- Critical care experience from ICU or Level I/II trauma centers is highly desirable; familiarity with trauma protocols is a plus.
- Knowledge of CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), ICD-9/10 for accurate billing and documentation purposes.
- Experience working with pediatric (including toddler and neonatal care), adult, geriatric populations—especially those requiring memory care or dementia support.
- Skills in managing acute pain cases, occupational health issues including Workers' compensation law compliance, and post-acute care planning.
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations using sonography or medical imaging tools; experience with gastroscopy or gastric lavage procedures is advantageous.
- Familiarity with nursing home environments or hospice settings; experience with telehealth platforms enhances service delivery capabilities.
