Overview
We are now accepting resumes for a part-time saturday to tuesday , 2pm-10 pm position at a local, family owned gas station, This position is for store closer and requires an individual to be punctual, responsible, friendly and comfortable handling transactions efficiently and accurately at the register. consistent customer service skills.
You must be 21 years of age or older to apply and comfortable selling tobacco and alcohol products as required by Washington State Law.
Duties
- Operate cash registers and Point of Sale (POS) systems to process customer transactions.
- Ensure accurate handling of cash, credit, and debit transactions.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries.
- Upsell products when appropriate to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area.
- Handle returns and exchanges according to store policies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations.
Experience
- Previous experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Basic knowledge of retail math for accurate transaction processing.
