CUSTODIAN AND JANITORIAL/MAINTENANCE WORKER

Department: Maintenance

Reports To: Maintenance Manager

FFX is looking for a quality person that takes pride in their work to keep our facility and equipment clean and presentable to our employees as well as the public.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Janitorial work to include cleaning restrooms and shop facilities.
• General maintenance of grounds and facilities including, but not limited to, grass cutting, litter removal and painting, and other light construction projects.
• Operates hand and small power tools.
• Operates various maintenance equipment such as tractors, large mowing machines, weed trimmers, over rough and uneven terrain.
• Performs preventative maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles and buildings.
• Cleaning and washing of interior and exterior of heavy trucks and other vehicles.
• Assists in repairs and building maintenance where applicable.
• Additional duties as assigned by manager.

REQUIRMENTS

· High school student or higher and a minimum of 18 years of age.

· Possess a strong desire to learn new skills.

· Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

· Ability to work outdoors for prolonged periods in various adverse weather conditions.

· Ability to read and follow written instructions.

· Able to safely operate vehicles equipped with manual and automatic transmission.

· Able to enter and exit driver’s compartment of truck and/or behind cab using normally available foot and handholds.

· Follow written and verbal communication skills. Able to work independently and with other team members.

· May be subject to climate fluctuations of a normal shop environment. May be exposed to heat, dust, cold, chemicals, oils, greases, paints etc.

· Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs. up to 25 feet and be able to push or pull up to 100 lbs.

· Balancing, climbing, stooping, bending, reaching, crouching, lying down, standing, and sitting.

· Show up on time daily.

License/Certification:

· Driver’s License
