Fastex Logistics is hiring experienced Class-A CDL Open-Deck OTR Drivers to join our team out of Central Florida. Success in this role means safely hauling specialized freight across all 48 states, securing loads properly, and maximizing your earnings through our percentage-pay structure. As an open-deck driver at Fastex, you are the front-line partner of our company, operating top-tier equipment and working directly with a dedicated 24/7 in-house dispatch team that respects your work and keeps you moving.
Responsibilities- Safely operate late-model Class-A tractor-trailers across 48 states on a predictable 3 weeks out / 5 days home schedule.
- Handle load securement, tarping, and untarping for various open-deck equipment including Flatbed, Stepdeck, Conestoga, and RGN setups.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment safety and DOT compliance.
- Maintain clear, daily communication with your dedicated in-house dispatcher regarding ETA, route updates, and load status.
- Manage electronic logging devices (ELD) and shipping documentation accurately in accordance with federal regulations.
- Licensing: Valid Class-A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) with a current DOT medical card.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of verifiable Class-A CDL OTR driving experience, with hands-on open-deck/flatbed securement experience preferred.
- Safety Record: Clean MVR and PSP record with no recent major moving violations or preventable accidents.
- Skills: Solid understanding of load distribution, chaining, strapping, tarping, and DOT safety standards.
- Compliance: Ability to pass a standard pre-employment DOT drug screen and background check.
