Position Summary:
The Inside Sales Clerk provides administrative and clerical support to the sales team within an AS9100-compliant manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate records, supporting order entry and customer communication, assisting with document control activities, and ensuring data accuracy throughout the order-to-cash process. The position plays an important role in supporting customer satisfaction, on-time delivery, and compliance with aerospace quality management system requirements.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Support daily administrative activities for the sales department
- Enter and maintain customer orders, quotes, and sales data within ERP/MRP systems
- Assist with contract review documentation and customer order processing
- Maintain organized electronic and hard-copy records in accordance with AS9100 and company procedures
- Coordinate customer documentation requests, certifications, and shipping paperwork
- Assist with tracking customer orders, delivery dates, and open action items
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and sales-related documentation as requested
- Support communication between Sales, Production, Quality, Shipping, and Accounting departments
- Ensure document revisions and customer specifications are current and properly controlled
- Help maintain customer files and retention records in compliance with company policies
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and support audit preparation efforts
AS9100 / Quality Responsibilities:
- Follow all applicable AS9100 procedures and company policies
- Maintain accuracy and traceability of customer-related documentation
- Support document control and record retention requirements
- Immediately communicate discrepancies, missing information, or customer concerns
- Participate in internal audits and corrective action support activities as needed
- Promote customer focus and awareness of quality objectives
Education, Experience, Skills & Abilities:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree or business coursework preferred
- 2 years of clerical, administrative, customer service, or sales support experience preferred
- Manufacturing or Aerospace experience preferred
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
Preferred Skills:
- Understanding of AS9100 or ISA 9001 environments
- Experience with order entry and customer documentation
- Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
