OVERVIEW:
The Knowledge Center Administrator will be responsible for managing and optimizing Fastenal’s digital content center with a strong emphasis on SharePoint administration. This role ensures that all digital assets, documents, and knowledge resources are well-structured, easily accessible, and consistently maintained. The Administrator will work with unstructured data to be consumed by various AI applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Administering and maintaining SharePoint content center libraries and metadata structures
o Managing permissions and security settings to ensure appropriate access and visibility
o Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and configure solutions
o Developing and maintaining documentation for content management audit processes and governance
o Providing training and support to users on accessing and contributing to the content center
o Serving as the project coordinator for content migration projects
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
o Possess at least 2 years of experience in content organization, SharePoint or knowledge management, or general administration OR a possess a degree in marketing, education, communications or administration
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
o Work independently as well as in a team environment
o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o SharePoint or knowledge management experience
o Understanding of content lifecycle management and digital organization principles
o Previous experience with metadata, taxonomy, and/or information architecture
o Strong organizational and project management skills

COMPENSATION:
The pay range for this position is $52,800 - 58,600. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
