Facility Details:
*If candidate worked permanently at facility in the past, $95 must wait 6 months before returning
*If Candidate traveled with another agency - must wait 6 months before applying through Fastaff
*RNs will have Continuing Education Modules they are responsible for keeping up on during assignment
-Parking: Is signed up for during onboarding (orientation week) – it is paid by the traveler and ranges from $14 – $58.34 per month. Travelers are provided the contact information to sign up for their choice based on availability.
-EMR: Cerner
-Scrubs: Navy
-Block scheduling Fri-Mon available upon request
-Every other weekend is required if not working weekend block sched
-need coverage over Christmas as a priority. Not required to work every holiday.
Orientation Details:
-FDI will be sent to all travelers, regardless of new/renew/return no later than Fridays before their contract start date.
-Email is titled Welcome to UAB and sometimes goes to the junk/spam folder for whatever reason. Please make sure your talent knows to check those folders as well. It will be sent from or Chasity Winston.
*Orientation week schedule for those who are new or have not been at UAB in 11-12 months will be as follows;
Wednesday: work on modules onsite at computer lab noted in FDI
Thursday: pick up ID Badge and Parking Permit, reach out to manager for schedule if you have not received.
Friday: 8a-12:30p - Impact Training onsite, Unit Orientation
*Please make sure you use your company time sheet to keep up with hours completing HealthStreams, Impact Training, and Unit Orientation. The modules take between 6-8 hours of time. The computer class is 8 hours. Then you will be set up for two 12 hour unit orientation shifts.
*Please send your first weeks’ time sheet no later than the 7 am Monday following your first week.
On Call:
-It is the normally about 6-8 days a month. That includes the weekend requirement as well. We count Fri Sat Sun as 3 days. So basically a day a week and a weekend about every 4-5 weekends.
-You have to be within 30 minutes for emergency cases
- it is the number of days in the month divided by the number of staff. If people leave or out on FMLA the days may increase.
-7 am- 730 pm
-Call is required
