Job Summary
The Florida Aquatics Swimming & Training is seeking a multi-skilled Facilities Technican to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the safe operation of facilities, equipment, and building systems through routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs.
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of electrical repairs and maintenance such as replacing outlets, switches, light fixtures and trouble shooting basic wiring issues to ensure safety and compliance.
- Performs plumbing tasks to include unclogging drains, repairing leaks, installing fixtures and maintaining water systems to prevent disruptions.
- Conducts HVAC maintenance such as changing filters, cleaning coils, inspecting ducts and performs minor repairs to optimize heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems for energy efficiency and comfort.
- Conducts minor routine repairs to all assigned facilities to include painting and carpentry.
- Monitors, checks, and performs preventive maintenance activities to fixtures, equipment and/or associated systems to ensure continued uninterrupted operation; conducts regular inspections of facility equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
- Troubleshoots and assists to resolve facility related issues, equipment repair; submits work orders, assists with maintaining inventory of operating, maintenance and custodial supplies.
- Conducts routine and specialized cleaning tasks to include interior and exterior areas, offices, hallways, windows, railings, entrance areas, and similar surfaces; ensures emergency responses and immediate needs are handled in a timely manner received by work orders, building reports, or patrons.
- Conducts heavy cleaning tasks including stripping, sealing, and waxing of hard surface floors, including moving furniture; record the condition and cleaning schedules for hard surface floors and carpets and garbage removal.
- Operates cleaning machinery to include floor scrubbers to polish, buff and sanitize large floor areas, offices and public spaces
- Assists with conducting safety inspections and monitoring site safety and coordinating with staff to adhere to safety policies and readies facilities for emergency ; serve in an active role to maintain facility security to promote the safety of patrons and employees.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required and upt to two (2) years of experience in facilities maintenance to include HVAC, plumbing and electrical; or an equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Experience with facilities maintenance for large commercial facilities is preferred.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
